John Gosden has played down the hype surrounding Too Darn Hot after his impressive debut win at Sandown.
Gosden’s charge was a seventh-length winner with star jockey Frankie Dettori on board on Thursday and is tipped for future glory.
The son of Dubawi out of Dar Re Mi is being talked about as a potential 2000 Guineas horse but Gosden wants to take it one race at a time in a bid to ease the four-year-old in before sending him into Group company.
Gosden said: “He is a nice horse, but it is early days. He will go to a novice like Beatboxer did after his first start.
“We are not going to launch straight into Group company yet, as he doesn’t know enough about the world.
“We will win a novice first, then look at bigger targets.”
