EXELERATOR EXPRESS made an encouraging start over fences at Sedgefield before the lack of a recent run told. Neil Mulholland’s horse jumped well, barely touching a twig in his round, but tired as they turned in which allowed the front three to get away. Once he got his second wind he did run on again and pinged the last fence which is always something I like to see. The form of the race hasn’t worked out too badly either as first and second home have both won since so if you consider the fact the selection wasn’t fully tuned up then you have to admit it was a very good run. He looks like a chaser, is on a workable mark and the drop back to 2 miles should suit this free going sort who looks to have been found an ideal opportunity to open his account.
