JAVA POINT hasn’t been missed today at Bangor after opening up at 6/1 last night he was soon chopped into 3’s. Trainer Kim Bailey has highlighted him as a horse to follow this year and a few other notable names have also mentioned him as one who could be on a fair mark and it’s pretty clear to see why.
Having been placed in behind Allart and Chantry House (both finished in the top 5 in the Supreme Novices Hurdle) without giving it too much thought you would have guessed he would be rated around the 130 mark. But in actual fact he is rated 119 which I believe is incredibly generous. Fitness will have to be taken on trust but I would say with Bailey’s string in such rude health, this lad should be ready to roll. The step up in trip should bring about further improvement and I am really excited to see what he has to offer today.
