Gosden considering Stradivarius’ options

Trainer has confirmed Stradivarius will return at either or next month.

Stradivarius was in hugely impressive form last year, picking up victories at , Ascot and before recording back-to-back third-place finishes at and Ascot again.


The four-year-old chestnut colt, who is the son of one of the greatest racehorses of all time, Sea The Stars, has not been seen since October last year but is nearing a return to action.


Gosden has now revealed his charge will compete in either Ascot’s Sagaro Stakes on May 2 or the Yorkshire Cup on May 18, with a decision set to be made with the owner over the coming days.


“I’m just going to talk to the owner about him, ” he said. “It is either the Sagaro Stakes or the Yorkshire Cup. It will be one or the other and we will make a decision over the weekend.”
