Willie Mullins feels the Coral Dublin Chase at Leopardstown will give him an idea of what targets to aim Yorkhill at in the future.
Yorkhill finished eighth in his last outing, having been sent off as the second favourite, in the Leopardstown Christmas Chase in December.
The eight-year-old will drop down in trip in the Coral Dublin Chase on Saturday, and Mullins feels his plans for his charge could change depending on how he fares this weekend.
“Yorkhill is too difficult a ride over a trip,” the trainer told the Irish Independent. “He’ll certainly be a lot easier to ride over a shorter trip. He jumps well enough to handle that sort of pace. We’ll find out a lot more after Sunday and see what other direction we could go with him if need be.”
