Faugheen is set for an outing in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown in November, according to trainer Willie Mullins.
The 2015 champion hurdler has not been seen in action since January last year and connections have been keeping the talented runner’s powder dry for next month.
Mullins has been considering his options and a run in the Morgiana Hurdle appears to be the best option for a highly-anticipated return.
He told the Irish Times: “It will probably be the Morgiana. That’s the point we’re aiming to start him off in.
“We had him fairly fit before he went out so I think he will be fairly forward by the time the Morgiana comes around.”
