Trainer Roger Varian admits there are plenty of options for Barsanti following his impressive performance at Royal Ascot last month.
The five-year-old produced a strong display as he finished second to Idaho in the Hardwicke Stakes on June 24, a run that was made even more impressive as it was his first ever competitive appearance at Ascot.
Varian was certainly pleased with Barsanti’s display and he believes there are now plenty of options for the bay gelding’s next run.
“I’m not sure where Barsanti will go next,” the trainer said. “He has come out the race well.”
The 38-year-old trainer confirmed a decision on Barsanti’s next outing will be made soon, but he must first hold discussions with the gelding’s owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum.
“We will sit down with the owner next week and see what he wants to do,” Varian added.
