Trainer Kim Bailey says The Last Samuri is in perfect condition ahead of the Grand National next month.
The Last Samuri came in second in the Aintree showpiece last year and Bailey hopes his charge can go one better in April.
The nine-year-old came in second at Doncaster in the Grimthorpe Chase, running off a 12lb higher mark than in the same event last year, and Bailey is now in confident mood ahead of the Grand National.
“I’m delighted with him,” said Bailey, as reported by Sky Sports.
“He has been prepared for one race and one race only.
“It was a far better race that he ran and won last year and he was higher in the weights this year.”
