Nigel Twiston-Davies believes Cheltenham hero Ballyandy could eventually develop into a Gold Cup contender.
Ballyandy claimed a memorable victory in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at The Festival earlier this month and will now head to Aintree for the Grand National meeting.
The five-year-old, who also has previous victories at Newbury and Worcester under his belt, is expected to run in the Champion Bumper in the prestigious Liverpool meeting next month and Twiston-Davies hopes he can go from strength to strength.
“He’s a little bit small but having said that he carries big weights and is doing really well,” he said.
“I hope he can be a Gold Cup horse.”
