Pipe coy on Starchitect plans

has admitted he is still uncertain which race Starchitect will feature in at the .

Having finished in fourth place in the Fred Juvenile Handicap Hurdle last year, the five-year-old has entries in three events for the Festival this time around.

However Pipe has been tight-lipped on whether Starchitect will race in the Coral Cup, Vincent O’Brien County Handicap Hurdle or the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.

“I haven’t a clue which race he will run in. I honestly don’t know,” said Jason Maguire, manager to the horse’s owners, Paul and Clare Rooney. “He ran over two miles in slow ground at and is in the Coral Cup, but it will be a decision that will be left to the last minute, as to what he runs in, I should imagine.

“He’s grand. I saw him last week. He is a good as gold. They have obviously trained him for Cheltenham after Newbury – we’ll just have to see what race they want to run him in.”
