Trainer Tracey Collins has confirmed that Majestic Queen has been retired to the paddocks after struggling on recent outings.
Majestic Queen claimed a win in the Group Three Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown last season and the Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield earlier this year, while also coming in just two lengths behind Muhaarar in the Prix Maurice de Gheest.
However, the five-year-old mare had to settle for eighth place in the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster earlier this month.
Collins revealed that Majestic Queen had been put into retirement following the performance at Doncaster and insists she is now ready to embark on a new career in the paddocks.
Collins said: “We retired her after she came back from Doncaster, so she’s got a new career ahead of her now.
“Hopefully she’ll produce a champion.”
