Harrington targets further Galway glory

Jockey Kate hopes Modem will cope with a quick turnaround for the Guinness Hurdle on .

The five-year-old put in a fine performance to claim the feature race on day one of the Galway in the two-mile Connacht Hotel Qualified Riders’ Handicap.

Harrington was delighted with the win and now hopes Modem will be fit and ready to go again in Thursday’s Guinness .

She said: “You need some luck in this race, but I jumped out and got a perfect position. Hopefully he’ll run on Thursday and he’d have a right chance.

“I always dreamt one day I would win this race, but I can’t believe it’s happened.”
