Tiana set for break

Trainer Lucy Wadham has admitted Lady Tiana will have a mid-season break as she ponders future options.

Wadham secured he biggest success of her career last time out as Lady Tiana scored in the recent Lancashire .

Tiana’s Group Two victory now sits alongside a Listed success picked up at at the end of last season.

The trainer believes that her filly has now earned the chance to go up against Group One company, but is still unsure of the best path going forward.

“She came out of the race in great form and will now have a bit of a break,” she said. “There’s a Group Two in Ireland (Blandford Stakes) on the same day as the Prix Vermeille, ironically, and if she runs before it will be in one of those two. I wouldn’t mind if she went straight to Ascot, though.

“The trouble with her is she needs to be ridden for a little turn of foot so every so often she can meet trouble in running. I think she’s earned a crack at a Group One.”
