Jockey Brian Toomey is set to make a competitive return to racing in July following nearly two years on the sidelines.
Toomey, who suffered a life-threatening head injury in July 2013, is keen to continue his career now he has recovered.
Trainer Phil Kirby has now revealed Toomey is likely to partner Kings Grey in around a fortnight.
Kirby told the Racing Post: “We have several options for the horse. I want Brian to win first time back, so I want to find the easiest option I can.
“Brian has been riding out here for three or four months and done plenty of schooling. He’s as keen and as brave as ever, which takes a bit of doing – if it had happened to me I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere near a horse.
“He wanted to have everything right and to look good – he didn’t want it to look like he hadn’t ridden for two years.”
