No turf racing today because of the frost which has claimed both Sedgefield and Market Rasen but Kempton Park envisage no problems, despite the cold snap, for their all-weather card this afternoon and they stage a competitive six-race card.
There is a terrific listed contest at Kempton this evening with Captain Cat (6.25) stepping down in grade having finished fifth on ground softer than ideal in the QEII on Champions’ Day at a soggy Ascot last month.
Some top class action from Goodwood this afternoon including the listed Foundation Stakes over 10f where Grandeur (3.50) can follow up last year’s win in the corresponding race as long as the ground does not deteriorate too badly.
