THIS time I’d like to talk about something that’s far from my favourite subject – favourites.
Every placepotter has experienced that moment when the favourite runs badly but still finishes third, ruining the Placepot dividend. At the same time we all say ‘phew!’ when the favourite finishes third and gets us through to the third or fourth leg.
