Racing to School is delighted to welcome innovative fundraising racing club The Good Racing Co and childcare specialists Care Love Learn Childcare as ongoing supporters of the charity. Both companies share Racing to School’s mission to engage the next generation.
Former dual Champion Jockey, Paul Hanagan, and now Director of Racing for The Good Racing Co said: “It’s great to be associated with Racing to School and the work that they do. It’s important for young people to connect with the sport and enjoy it.”
The Good Racing Co was created by Phil Hawthorne who was behind the hugely successful Burrow Seven campaign, which raised funds the late Rob Burrow and research on MND. The vision of Good Racing Co is to raise funds and awareness for different charitable causes, while Care Love Learn, headed up by Sue Morris, offers early years childcare in the North East of England.
“I met with the charity earlier this year and saw the connection between the work the charity does with young people from all backgrounds and the children we work with at Care Love Learn,” said Sue Morris.
“I’m passionate about making a difference in children’s lives. Any new experiences we can offer children can only enhance and develop their future.”
Racing to School looks forward to working with Care Love Learn Childcare to deliver an activity day for some of the young people in their care at a local racing venue in 2025.
John Blake, Chief Executive of Racing to School added: “We are excited and very grateful for this new partnership. Both organisations share our vision to support young people and to connect them with the many opportunities that racing provides. Both Phil and Sue have shown a real interest in the potential of growing our work and their pledge of support will allow us to reach even more beneficiaries in the future.”
