Friday
It’s going to be pretty testing at Sandown today and you’re going to need a horse that stays every inch of their respective race. One horse who I think will do that and also possesses a touch of class is SOUTHOFTHEBORDER for the Nicky Henderson yard. His run here last time caught my eye and it’s a race I’m keen to follow as I think the front 3 are all useful. However the eventual winner and selection today barely got out of second gear and Henderson reported De Boinville was very happy after the race which gives me plenty of confidence. He has Insurrected to beat here but I am hopeful he has more to come.
Later on the card, the third in said Sandown race was CLASSIC ANTHEM who travelled into the straight with the winner. To be able to do that suggests he must have a fair engine and given Jim Boyle has spent good money on him and his form to date also confirms he has plenty of talent he must rate a serious each way play at 13/2 off a mark of 114. It’s a tough race but on this ground I think the selection is the way to go.

Saturday
There’s a lot going on on Saturday and I think I’ll be watching most without having a bet but one horse who I am keen to side with is COLONEL HARRY. He is currently priced up 4/1 and I’ll be surprised if he remains that come the off tomorrow. I’m not convinced at all with his rivals and this lad impressed me with his chase success at Chepstow last time. He loves the ground, is a proper chasing type and his red hot trainer has got the taste for big Saturday winners so he rates a confident selection.
