I am hopeful EXECUTIVE DECISION can bounce back from a below par effort over 7f last time out to notch another victory since her switch to the Jamie Osbourne yard. She didn’t quite seem to see out the extra furlong at Doncaster and although the softer ground probably didn’t help I think she will be much more suited to the 6f trip today and also the switch to a fillies only race. She has been a good purchase for connections so far and seemed quite progressive prior to her run at Doncaster so here’s hoping she can get back on that upward curve today.
Later on the card I think VICTORY DANCE might be getting overlooked in the 4.45. A below par run last time at Ascot is best ignored as the headgear worn has now been disposed of. His earlier runs probably suggested he is better than a handicapper and although he will have to be to win carrying such a weight today, his connections have enjoyed success with similar types before. It doesn’t look the deepest race and many of the market leaders are up there due to style over substance and I’m confident the selection has plenty of the latter.
