His form figures may not suggest it but I think DARK JEDI is in some good form at present and may make his race fitness tell today at York. Tim Easterby’s horse has ran some fine races on the Knavesmire in the past and his recent second at Musselburgh puts him in with a chance here. He refused to settle at Newmarket, a track which wouldn’t necessarily suit him, so it is best to ignore that effort. At 18/1 he looks a serious each way play.
Similar comments apply to the likeable WOVEN. I think Michael Dods’ charge is definitely better than his current mark but his running style doesn’t always let him prove that. He has to be held up in his races which makes things complicated for sure but in a big field like this today I hope he has a good pace to aim at. It might just be a case of whether he is on the right side. Fingers crossed he is.
