Another horse who has been freshened up is TIP TOP CAT and I think he is value in the 4.25. Fergal O’Brien seems to have rejuvenated him since inheriting him from Nigel Twiston-Davies but his last run was a little flat. If the break has done the trick I expect him to shake up some of the market principles.
Like Captain Morgs, HERBIERS was a much better price last night at 5/1 but punters have slowly but surely latched onto Oliver Greenall’s horse. He himself is in great form at present and he will surely be expecting a big run from this lad. 9th in the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham Festival, he travelled well into the straight before just petering out up the straight which wasn’t the first time he finished tamely over an intermediate trip. The drop to 2 miles today looks a good move and with Toby Wynne’s claim taken into consideration he runs off a 9lb lower mark than he did at the festival which surely gives him a right chance.
Cheltenham 1.30 – Captain Morgs
Cheltenham 4.25 – Tip Top Cat
Cheltenham 5.00 – Herbiers
