Sir Gerhard brought up a landmark 80th success at The Festival for trainer Willie Mullins as he landed the opening race on Day Two, his fifth in the Ballymore.
The seven year old scored by three and a half lengths from Three Stripe Life, with Whatdeawant another nine lengths back in third.
