bEN`S Sat TIPS OF THE DAY

I was impressed with L’HOMME PRESSE chasing debut at last time out and I think there may be more to come now. Venetia has a fine record at and it speaks volumes of the regard she must hold this fellow in by running him here on a Saturday in what looks a pretty hot renewal of the race. He isn’t as experienced as some of his rivals but he does have plenty of scope and I think he might just improve again for his reappearance at Exeter.

Later on the card, the Long Walk Hurdle takes centre stage and I can’t quite believe how Buzz is favourite for the race over the proven stayer THYME HILL. Yes he should stay and yes he looked very impressive last time but this is a big step up in trip and in grade. Philip Hobbs’ horse is a proven top notcher who looks to have the staying hurdle division at his feet now with the regression of Paisley Park. His only poor run came in France last time on terrible ground and I would expect him to put that behind him now back on these shores and on better ground.
