A safe round of jumping would have done CUP OF COFFEE the world of good last time out at Warwick and she can show the benefit of that run at Ludlow this afternoon. Sam Drinkwater’s mare clearly has ability but after a couple of falls (one in a bumper) it was crucial she got round safely last tme which she did. Alain Cawley really got after her at the back of the last and she finished really strongly. That would have teed her up nicely for the 12.20 at Ludlow today and I think she can give the red hot favourite plenty to think about.
Another mare I am relying on today is NINA THE TERRIER who put in superb round of hurdling at Chepstow last time out to win easy. A low, accurate jumper she was so slick and made groun at every hurdle. That experience will prove crucial today I feel and will certainly help her carry her double penalty. The favourite is a smart mare in her own right but 5/1 about a mare who looked so good last time and has jumping experience looked too big last night.
