The 2.10 at Redcar is a typical ‘Ben Morgan’ handicap where I’ve backed over half the field before and will undoubtedly kick myself when one of them beats my selection today, SPIRIT DANCER, by a nose. It’s going to be a competitive race for sure but I’m sure the selection is better than a mark of 94 and I hope he can prove it today.
A good second at Chester on his return from a short break was followed by a good fourth at York last time out. I was slightly disappointed however as I really expected him to win but he used too much gas early and was running on empty in the last half a furlong. I’m hoping Tony Hamilton can get a hold of him today because if he can, the ground, trip and track all look set to suit and a big run is incoming.
