On first inspection of the 4.10 at Musselburgh I thought Zip looked a solid bet at around 8/1 but by the time I have come to write this piece his price has collapsed to 4/1 and for win purposes that doesn’t strike me as value. Therefore a chance is taken on EAGLEWAY who could bounce back now back on a softer surface. Ivan Furtado rarely sends his runners this far north and this French recruit looked one to keep on side after a super second placed finish at Ascot earlier this season. The slow pace at Newcastle after that wouldn’t have suited and his run at York was just too bad to be true so that is easy to forgive. He has since endured a bout of wind surgery and although fitness will have to be taken on trust I do think the price compensates the risk.
