IRISH LEGEND is the clear form pick in my eyes in the 8.30 at Kempton this evening. Hugo Palmer‘s charge has been mixing it with some of the most progressive middle distance horses this season and has performed with credit. He has won twice on the all weather before so the surface doesn’t pose a problem but the likely slow pace would worry me although I do hope from a decent draw James Doyle can be positive aboard this useful colt. This race today represents a step down in grade and a good opportunity to get his head back in front.
