HYANNA is a tough old mare who should be ready to strike again soon. Eve Johnson-Houghton’s horse rarely runs a bad race and as a result the handicapper doesn’t give her much relief but she has worked herself back down to a mark which she should be competitive off as she proved last time. She was only beaten by an improving type at Kempton and on collateral form, Percy’s Pride holds her here today but on the whole she looks a lot more consistent and you know what you are going to get. She has a course and distance victory to her name and although she has a big weight to carry, she does have maximum assistance from the saddle.
