I am feeling somewhat refreshed after a week’s break and am certainly relishing the final third of the flat season. However, I’m not getting too excited about today’s action as it looks an average day on the whole.
I’m taking a punt on NEVERBEEN TO PARIS who ran too bad to be true at Pontefract last time out. If he could bounce back to his second at Yarmouth then he would certainly have a chance in this race at 18/1. Harry Whittington’s horse is more well known these days as a very useful hurdler in his own right but he enjoyed success on the level before he went hurdling and it looks like connections are keen to re-exploit what could be a lenient handicap mark back on the flat. Apart from the favourite there isn’t too much between them on recent form so at a big price I’d be keen to play this one each way.
