CHICHESTER needed every yard over the mile at Carlisle to get up on the line last week and his ability to stay further than a mile may stand him in good stead again today at Hamilton. Keith Dalgleish seems to have found the key to this once promising Sir Michael Stoute project and he is rewarding his new trainer with consistent performances. There was hope he would end up as more than a handicapper when in Newmarket so there is every chance that he can win this, carrying a penalty. They tend to get racing a long way out at Hamilton and I think that will suit him and it’s probably a sign of confidence that Graeme Lee is booked rather than a claimer to negate the penalty.
