The City and Suburban handicap at Epsom looks a competitive renewal and I’m sure it will throw up a few good winners going forwards. There are a few coming back off a break and there are a few that haven’t ran over the track before which can be crucial so with that in mind I think SKY DEFENDER is the bet here at 15/2.
Mark Johnston’s horse took an ultra competitive handicap over course and distance on Derby day last year and is now only 5lb higher after a busy but unsuccessful winter. I think it’s fair to say he is a much better horse on turf and back at a course which he should hold an edge over some of these I think he is underestimated at his current price.
