Tiger Roll set for new cross-country bid
Eddie O’Leary, racing manager for owners Gigginstown House Stud, says Tiger Roll is “all systems go” for the cross-country chase at Cheltenham next week.
Tiger Roll won the Festival race in both 2018 and 2019 and the two-time Grand National hero is set for another tilt next Wednesday as he looks to win back the crown he lost when beaten comprehensively by Easysland last year.
The 11-year-old is expected to be a leading contender for the race again, although Easysland is once again in the running and Potters Corner is another lively contender.
“Touch wood, it’s all systems go, hopefully. All is going well so far,” O’Leary said.
As well as Tiger Roll, Gigginstown also have Alpha Des Obeaux and Balko Des Flos in the race at this stage, with the Festival set to get underway, without fans, on Tuesday.
“The plan is for all three to run,” O’Leary added.
