JOHN GOSDEN landed one of the few big races he’d yet to win when Stradivarius claimed the Ascot Gold Cup. Frankie Dettori rode a perfect race on the four-year-old, who tracked Order Of St George into the straight before powering past the 2016 winner.
Stradivarius kept pulling out more in the closing stages to deny Vazirabad who didn’t look particularly keen to run past.
