AINTREE THURSDAY
As at Cheltenham I was once again with Star Sports for the Grand National meeting. With their reputation for laying lumpy bets, I was braced for a hairy three days.
The Red Devils, parachute team not Manchester United, landed on the course ten minutes before the opening race of the day. Up to that point business had been modest, the paras didn’t look to be that interested in having a bet, Manchester United players might have been a better option for the betting ring.
