Soon after Cheltenham last year I was asked to explain why some jockeys are better with hurdlers than chasers, or the other way around, and what further difference it could make over the two different courses at Cheltenham as well as simply in which way are the two courses so different. I tried to put it in coherent terms and I hope that comes across here too.
