I was back up at Aintree this year for the first time since the late 1990s when working for Dave Phillips on the Embankment. This time it was as for Cheltenham, part of the Star Sports team working on the rails. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but after the Festival I was aware that if colossal bets were to be taken then this was the firm that would snap them up.
