At face value, coming home sixth in a sprint handicap might not be the strongest form in the world but this was an encouraging effort by Henry Candy’s four-year-old.
Over the minimum trip you usually need a little bit of luck and that was sadly lacking here as he was almost knocked over entering the final furlong. That put paid to any chances he had of winning but it was good to see him pick up well once seeing daylight.
