Alan Cooper has suggested that Alpine Star could head to the Irish Champion Stakes as she looks to continue her fine form.
The filly has picked up one victory and two second-place finishes in three outings since returning from a 302-day break in June.
She kicked off the current campaign by winning the Coronation Stakes at Ascot before claiming second spot at Chantilly and Deauville in July and August respectively.
“At the moment, Mrs Harrington is leaning towards the Irish Champion Stakes,” Racing manager Cooper said.
The Leopardstown Group One showpiece is set to take place on September 12 and Cooper claims they aren’t rushing into a decision.
He added: “We’ve got another two weeks to go – the filly has come out of Deauville very well.
“She’s had a very good season. She’s one of the leading (lights) of her own generation.”
