Frankie Dettori’s suspension for careless riding has been reduced to six days but he will miss the start of the Goodwood Festival.
The Italian was initially handed a 10-day suspension after it was deemed that he allowed his mount Angel?s Hideaway to shift right without sufficient correction in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket on July 13.
He came home second behind Pretty Pollyanna in the Group Two heat as Main Edition and La Pelosa were adjudged to have suffered from interference in behind.
Dettori?s ban was set to run from July 27 to August 5, which would see him miss this weekend?s King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, along with his rides on Tuesday and Wednesday at Goodwood.
After taking his case to the appeal board they have agreed to take four days off his suspension and he will therefore be free to take part in Thursday?s Qatar Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.
