Geraghty eyeing Galway return

Jockey is hoping to return to action at the at the end of July, according to Dr Adrian McGoldrick.

The top jumps jockey has endured a tough campaign on the injury front and his latest setback came in April.

Geraghty broke his arm when falling from Minella Foru in the Irish and he was forced to miss the .

However, he has made good progress and is targeting a return at the seven-day Galway Festival, which starts on July 31.

Turf Club chief medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: “Barry went into rehabilitation at Santry (Sports Surgery Clinic) about three weeks ago. The aim is to get him back for Galway.”
