Duffy outlines Reve’s options

Owner Paul Duffy says soft conditions will be crucial in deciding where Reve De Sivola will race next.

Reve De Sivola struggled at on Saturday and could only finish a distant sixth to on ground that was officially described as good to soft.

The lack of give in the ground proved to be a major problem for the 11-year-old, who won the Grade One event three years in a row from 2012 to 2014.

Attentions are now turning towards the next options for the gelding and Duffy has confirmed there are two potential meetings – in January and in February – but it all depends on whether the going suits his charge.

“It was not soft enough at Ascot,” he said. “He will go to the Cleeve if the ground is heavy, otherwise we will wait for the Rendlesham.”

Reve De Sivola has not tasted success since winning the Betfred ‘Home Of Goals Galore' Hurdle back in February this year, with his last two runs resulting in fifth and sixth places.
