Dan Skelton has opted to pull Meet The Legend out of Sunday's StanJames.com Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham.
The five-year-old was set to make his seasonal bow in the Grade Three contest but will now not make an appearance at Prestbury Park.
The son of Midnight Legend was second favourite to land the spoils but, according to the Lodge Hill handler, the gelding is not 100 per cent.
“I'm not that happy with him, he's just a little bit off colour and has a little bit of a cough,” said Skelton. “It's disappointing for the owners as he's been absolutely fine for the last four months and has had this race as his target for a while.
“I'm sure we'll find something later in the year for him.”
Owned by Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, Meet The Legend was last seen finishing third at Kelso in March, having won a Novices' Hurdle at Newbury the month before.
