Stamp Of Authority to bounce back at Kempton Park

By Charlie McCann

There is a decent card at this evening and in the Get Svens Inside Track At Maiden, hope you enjoy our new TV ad, I am not surprised to see Stamp Of Authority (5.45) drop back in trip having pulled hard and failed to get home over an additional furlong here last month. The selection did well to be beaten only a couple of lengths and led his field at today's 6f trip. Luke Morris keeps the ride and while he could have had a better draw than stall nine this evening he must go close.

Chauvelin (7.15) should appreciate the step up in trip on his handicap debut having looked short of pace over an extended mile at Wolverhampton. A brother of decent 12-14f handicapper Van Percy he represents the yard of Roger Charlton and market support would be an encouragement.

At the unbeaten Bitofapuzzle (1.10) cannot be opposed in the mares' maiden hurdle. Her recent win when carrying a penalty in listed class at earmarked her down as a potential top class mare and she could go to the very top over timber and fences in the longer term.

Lily Waugh didn't jump particularly well on her chase debut but finished with a rare flourish and will take some beating with that experience behind her for Anthony Honeyball. Preference in the staying handicap chase, however, is for last year's winner Buck's Bond (2.15). The selection is only 2lbs higher this afternoon than when winning by 9L in 2013 and he ran a cracking race on his reappearance when touched off close home over further than today's trip back in October. rarely leaves his local track empty handed and Buck's Bond can follow up last year's success.

Ronaldinho (2.45) has been frustrating but should appreciate today's better ground having finished down the field at Kempton (soft) on his reappearance. He has been dropped 5lbs for that effort and the booking of suggests a better run is expected from the Alan King-trained runner.

Champagne N Caviar should be noted for a market move in the amateur riders' handicap chase but Wayward Frolic (3.20) hadn't been asked a serious question when coming down five out at Cheltenham and has been given plenty of time to get over that effort his first in 18 months.

I'm surprised to see Wild Bill (1.00) dropping back in trip having shaped with such promise at on his debut under rules. He is going to make a 3m chaser in time but that was a race full of promise and he must go close in the opener for Evan Williams.

I'm going to take a chance with Lawsons Thorns (2.05) on his handicap debut for . The selection wouldn't want the ground to deteriorate from good to soft but I'm convinced there is more to come over fences from this son of Presenting who finished last of four in a decent contest last time. This is more his grade and he is a forecast 10/1 with BetVictor which might be worth an each way consideration.
