I’m trying to stay away from the obvious on the opening day and will go with this thrice-raced French-import, who has yet to race in Ireland. A son of Maxios – sire of leading juvenile hurdles of recent seasons, Quilixios and Aramax – he was handed an entry in the handicap hurdle on trials day, for which the English handicapper rated him 129.
