Andy Newton looks at where the previous winners of the seasonal jumping showcase have come from

Trainer Willie Mullins landed only his second King George VI Chase 12 months ago when Tornado Flyer was the shock 28/1 winner of the Christmas feature, with his only previous win in the race with Florida Pearl back in 2001.
During that period, it’s been the powerful Paul Nicholls, Nicky Henderson and Colin Tizzard stables have been responsible for ALL previous Boxing Day King George winners, so 15 of the last 16 – wow!
