Ben`s Tips of The Day 5.11.20

After yesterday’s horror show I’m keen to bounce back strongly today. I went against a lot of unwritten punting rules yesterday and I will be sticking to what I know from now on in. Form is and the form of SEI BELLA‘s win at looks pretty useful. An opening mark of 104 looks exploitable so it’s interesting Murty McGrath allows her to take her chance in a novice under a penalty. Gran Luna looks the obvious one here and she could be very smart indeed but with 3 places still on offer I’m keen to punt Sei Bella each way at around 9/1. She stays well and will appreciate a sound surface so could pick up the pieces late on.

The 2.50 Novices handicap chase at looks a good race and I think there could be a few which will be rated higher in March than they are here in November. Royal Crown looks set to make a much better chaser and Exelerator Express looks pretty useful already. But I quite like OUR BUBBA at the prices and think he could prove to be a lot better than 107 now switched to fences. He travelled very well at on his return in a race won by the smart One True King and as the field spreadeagled turning in, my selection was able to go with the pace. He tired late on but he showed more than enough to suggest he is better than 107. His hurdling technique left plenty to be desired but given his size I would suspect his fencing technique will be much more efficient and therefore I think he is worth a play at 7/1.

Newbury 2.00 – Sei Bella

Sedgefield 2.50 – Our Bubba
