Angus Gold has revealed they are targeting the St Leger at Doncaster next week as they look to continue Hukum’s progression.
The three-year-old has enjoyed a fine start to the season, winning at Royal Ascot before following up with a victory at Newbury last month.
He boasts three wins from four career outings and continues to impress despite being tested in stronger company on each trip.
Hukum is set for another serious test on Saturday week after racing manager Gold confirmed they intend to take up entry for the Group 1 St Leger Stakes at Doncaster.
“He’s fine, and we’re hoping to go to the Leger,” said Gold.
“He’s progressing very well, (and) I was impressed with him at Newbury the other day.”
