October is probably my favourite month of the racing year with the two ends of the betting spectrum on show - the second leg of the autumn double (Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap) through to the Group 1 Prix Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Long-champ.
Add in the big back end Ascot Champions Day and the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket and you have an outstanding month of Flat racing before the jumpers begin to creep onto the racing stage.
