As we head into the July and the heart of the summer months, the John Smith’s Cup is certainly one of the feature races to hunt out.
Run over a trip of 1m2 1/2f at York racecourse each July and this year the lucrative handicap will be staged on Saturday 15th, while to many of the more mature racegoers the contest may still be referred to as the Magnet Cup.
