Bens Day 3 Cheltenham Tips

Check out the with my selection via BETWAY

1.30 – There has been a lot of hype around Mighty Potter and probably quite rightly so judging by the his victories this season. He certainly looks a natural over fences but his price doesn’t encourage me too much here and he has a lot more on his plate. Banbridge and Appreciate It are two very good and their form has been boosted after El Fabiolo hosed up in the . I’d rather take a chance on STAGE STAR at a much bigger price who impressed me last time out. He carried a big weight to victory here in a handicap and the second horse is fancied to go well in the Plate later on today. If you ignore his run at this season where he wasn’t quite right he looks a tad overpriced at 12/1.

2.10 – Thanksforhelp is lurking down the bottom here but has to step on his win at which he might well do but at a similar price I would much rather back MAXXUM who has seen plenty of money in the 24 hours. His upward curve suffered a slight jolt last time out when interference cost him his chance in a competitive handicap hurdle at Dublin . It’s worth remembering before that that his trainer, Gordon was talking about him developing into a graded performer this season. With that in mind I think there is every chance he improves again here and runs a big race for Davy Russell.

2.50 – This is all about SHISHKIN here I think. Providing he is over his exertions in the Chase 26 days ago, which I think he should be, he will very hard to beat here and is probably a linch pin to many ante post trebles and accumulators this week. If he is on form, he wins.

3.30 – This is a very bad renewal of the race and I can’t get excited about too much. Looking at the market last year’s winner might not be a bad price at 6/1 but at slightly bigger prices I think GOLD TWEET and PAISLEY PARK could reward each way backers. The french raider looked very smart when winning here last time out and can only improve from that. There is an argument about his stamina but I don’t see a great deal of pace in this race either so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Former winner, Paisley Park, disappointed in that same race last time but I wouldn’t rule out a bounce back here.

4.10 – This looks a competitive renewal and I’ve been keen on DATSALRIGHTGINO for a while now as he has that unexposed novice profile. Take out Stage Star of his race at Cheltenham two runs back and he was a cosy winner of a competitive handicap. He is 7lb higher now after a good second to Solo in a hot novice race at but he could have more to offer in handicap company. I can’t now put up COOLE CODY either in this race as he is somehow 2lb lower than his win in this last year. He loves it around here and I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t tuned up to the max here.

4.50 – Luccia looks like a favourite to take on here and I’m having two darts at the board. YOU WEAR IT WELL has been very impressive so far this season and I’d argue her form is stronger than the favourite’s. With that in mind she rates serious each way value at 10/1 and I expect her to come strongly. If they go at a good clip I can see MULLENBEG doing some damage at a big price as she loves to come off a fast pace. Her run in the Dovecote can be marked up as she came from the rear of the field and that was also her first run after a break.

5.30 –  RAPPER looks a big price in the last race here after his course win in January. He is only on a 2lb higher mark than that romp and young Alice Stevens is very good value for her claim. He stays all day and speaking to Richard Patrick recently he thinks he will stay as long as you want him to which is a positive as this race might take some getting if the forecast rain comes. At current odds of  16/1 with Betway  he looks a solid each way poke.
